Raid on criminal hideout: Rivers Police release over 100 suspects
Spokesman of the Command, Nnamdi Omoni said the police released 130 suspects unconditionally, out of the over 200 persons arrested.
The Police spokesman also disclosed that some of the suspects in detention were helping the police with investigations just as he clarified that the police were empowered by law to carry out raids and mass arrests in troubled areas.
“We will charge them to court as soon as our investigations are concluded.”
The Police has embarked on a mass raid on some parts of Emohua Local government area of Rivers State, especially Omudioga where there were recurrent reports of beheading of residents.
