Ondo PDP expels factional chairman, other Sheriff’s loyalists
The party said activities of those affected were affecting the peace moves instituted by the State Executive Council of the party.
They all belong to the Ali Modu Sheriff faction of the PDP.
Recall that Poroye last week hinted that some members might join the Mega Party of Nigeria (MPN) if the Ahmed Makarfi faction was not sincere with the reconciliation.
Earlier some loyalists of Sherif and Senator Buruji Kashamu (PDP-Ogun East) defected to the MPN.
Adekoya is also Kahamu’s Senatorial Liaison Assistant (SLA).
At the weekend, Ondo PDP in a terse statement issued by the state chairman, Chief Clement Faboyede, dissolved the faction led by Poroye executive.
It said the faction had remained “irreconcilable, intransigent and disloyal to the party’s interest and goal”.
