N-Power has been a success – Governor Ahmed

Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed has commended the Federal Government on its efforts to create jobs for youths in the country through the N-power programme.
He described the programme as an effective policy of the Buhari’s adminsitartion.

Ahmed spoke Wednesday when he received Senior Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation and Youth Empowerment, Afolabi Imoukhuede, at Government House, Ilorin.
Ahmed said the Kwara state government will work to ensure the success of the programme.
“We are advocates for the youths and the less-privileged and will spare no effort to support programmes that will empower youths and make them self-reliant,” he assured

Ahmed said his administration had also evolved programmes similar to N-power programme driven under various platforms to find jobs for the teeming unemployed youths across the state.
The governor added that the establishment of International Vocational Training and Entrepreneurs College (IVTEC) Ajasse-Ipo and acquisition of 2,500 hectares of land for youths farming were aimed at reducing unemployment rate in the state.
Earlier, Imoukhuede said he was in the state to monitor the program he said will create job, wealth and empower the youths.

Meanwhile, N-Power volunteers have been asked to fix issues with their accounts by end of July or be dropped from the programme.
