Court grants bail to Ex-OAU Acting V.C
Elujoba, who is standing trial for financial impropriety levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) was set free from EFCC custody by Justice David Oladimeji on self recognition.
Meanwhile, Mrs Josephine Akeredolu, who was the Bursar at the time Elujoba held sway as the Acting V.C, and also arraigned alongside the the former Acting V.C was granted bail with the sum of fifty million naira and two sureties, who are to be high ranking members of the academic or non-academic staff of the university, in like sum.
Oladimeji after listening to both sides of the argument had ordered Elujoba to be remanded in prison pending the hearing of the case which he adjourned to July 19.
The judge was later compelled to reverse himself after a violent protest by the staff and students of the university who came to the court premises to pledge their unalloyed support and loyalty to the former Acting V.C.
