Conte’s future in doubt as Mourinho beats Chelsea to Lukaku

Chelsea’s failure to land their top transfer targets this summer has left manager Antonio Conte’s position with the club in doubt.
The Mirror reports that the Italian tactician is not happy with the club’s failure to bring in any first-team players in the off-season.

Their number one target, Romelu Lukaku,looks set to join Manchester United.

The Premier League champions have also failed to land Alexis Sanchez and Virgil van Dijk. Deals for Alex Sandro and Tiemoue Bakayoko have not been sorted out yet.
Conte is now reportedly “fuming” at club officials, for letting Lukaku get away. Having told Diego Costa to look for a new team via a text message, the former Juventus boss is facing a crisis up front ahead of the new season.
