When our correspondent contacted him for an update on those in custody and what is being done to forestall possible reprisals on Ikorodu residents, he said: “I cannot speak on the arrests. The commissioner has asked that no officer make comments on the raid. This is strategic”.

Recall that the ccommand in collaboration with local volunteers including the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, apprehended over 100 Badoo members at the weekend.
Confirming the arrest, spokesperson of the State Police Command, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the Command is determined to rid the state of the criminal activities of the cult members.
“We can confirm the arrest of 100 suspected members of the dreaded cult group, Badoo and they are helping with ongoing investigation into the activities of the gang.
“We also like to assure residents that they are free to go about their normal activities without let or hindrance, as the police and other security agencies in the State are poised to make the State uncomfortable and hot for criminal elements to perpetrate their nefarious activities.”
