Obaseki gives Oshiomhole’s SSG, Ihonvbere key position, names Idah, Eboigbe SAs

​Edo State ​Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has appointed Professor Julius Ihonvbere as Chairman, Strategic Planning Team, Governor’s Office.
Ihonvebere was Secretary to Edo State Government from 2012 to 2016 under former governor, Adams Oshiomhole.


A statement on Wednesday by incumbent Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, said Chief Osaro Idah is the new Special Adviser on Political and Community Matters.
Crusoe Osagie was named Special Adviser, Media and Communication Strategy while Prince Joe Okojie is the Special Adviser, Agriculture and Food Security Programme.

Joseph Eboigbe is the new Special Adviser on Economic and Development Planning; Hon Gowon Yakubu is the Special Adviser on Special Duties and Dr Joan Oviawe becomes the new Special Adviser on Basic Education.

​The​ statement ​noted that the appointments was in line with ​Obaseki’s​ promise after the Appeal Court judgement ​that ​he was set to announce major political appointments in his administration.
​It added that the appointments were ​”a call to duty, sacrifice and leadership​”.
​The​ inauguration ceremony w​ill take place on Friday the 23rd of June​ ​at the EXCO chambers of the Edo State Government House​, Benin.​
