The Andoma of Doma in Nasarawa State, s, has called on the Federal
and State governments to as a matter of urgency clamp down on those
making hate speeches in order to protect Nigeria’s unity.
Speaking to newsmen in Doma on Friday, the traditional ruler noted
that people in some parts of the country threatening carnage in the
country were doing much harm to the unity of Nigeria.
He urged those seeking secession or asking others to leave their
territories to think again as every Nigerian has the legitimate right to
live in peace and flourish together in every part of the country.
“The federal government and all state governments must step up their
critical roles in ensuring that Nigeria are protected, united and its
people live in peace wherever they choose as their place of abode.
“They must act against hate speech makers to protect our
indivisibility. I assured those living within his domain of their
safety.
“We are better together than divided. As the paramount ruler of Doma,
all Nigerians irrespective of their tribes or religion living in Doma
should have no fear at all. Every Nigerian living in Doma is as
protected as the indigenes,” he explained.
