Speaking about his substitution, ESPN quoted Marcelo as saying at the
post-match press conference: "The change surprised me, but I respect
the manager's decision.
"I wanted to continue because I was fine, I was 100 per cent. I didn't
understand the change but I respect it.
"It's a decision made by the manager. I always want to play."
Real went behind Borja Garcia's in a 17th-minute opener at the Estadi Montilivi.
The Champions League holders fought back to take the lead through two
penalties, converted by captain Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema.
