Liverpool, on Monday, announced that Mohammed Salah has signed a new
contract with the club.
The Egyptian superstar has put pen to paper, on a five-year deal to
keep him at Anfield until 2023.
Salah's deal will see him become the highest earning player in the
club's history. The UK Mirror reports that his salary, which will be
performance related, include incentives which could take his earning
to beyond £10m a year.
There is no release clause included.
It is reward for Salah, who broke the Premier League record for most
goals scored in a 38 game season, when he netted 32 goals in the
2017/2018 campaign.
Liverpool moved quickly to tie him down to fresh terms, amid interest
from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
