English Premier League side Arsenal has reacted to Super Eagles'
defeat to Argentina at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
A 2-1 defeat to Argentina at Saint Petersburg on Tuesday saw Nigeria
crash out of the tournament.
It was also Nigeria's 5th defeat to Argentina in the World Cup as
Rojo's goal broke the Eagles' wings and sent them crashing.
The Gunners had been rooting for the Super Eagles on the biggest stage
as one of their own, Alex Iwobi, played for the Eagles.
However, speaking on Eagles' defeat, Arsenal in a tweet on their
official Twitter page commended them for great performance despite the
fallout.
"It wasn't to be for Alex Iwobi and Super Eagles tonight but they can
be proud of their efforts at the World Cup,"Arsenal tweeted.
