The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), have confirmed
that they will investigate Neymar’s proposed move from Barcelona to
Paris Saint – Germain, even if no complaint is received.
UEFA Chief Executive Director for financial and sustainability,
Andrea Traverso, disclosed this during an interview with Spanish news
agency, La Agencia EFE.
Traverso confirmed to EFE that there is no official complaint
regarding Neymar’s possible transfer at the moment, they will make sure
it is legal.
UEFA want to make sure the deal, once officially done, fits in the
Financial Fair Play policy and that, “the rules of FFP will be
respected.”
“The potential impact of Neymar’s signing with PSG would produce effects for many years of the economy of the club,” He said.
They have to prove that they have no losses of more than 30 million euros within three years,” Traverso concluded.
