2019: APC candidate decries vandalism of opposition party’s billboards in Abia

The All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly candidate for
Umuahia north constituency in Abia state, Nwabueze Onwuneme, has cried
out over alleged vandalization of opposition politicians' billboards,
posters and banners by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP-led
administration in the state.

Onwuneme, who spoke in an interview with newsmen on Thursday,
described the continued act as barbaric and witch-hunting.

He specifically accused the majority leader of the Abia House of
Assembly, Chinedum Orji, of ordering thugs to destroy all billboards
belonging to APC, President Muhammadu Buhari, and himself.

The candidate appealed to security agencies to call members of the
ruling PDP in the state to order.

He said, "Intelligence report getting to me states that the majority
leader of the Abia state House of Assembly has ordered the
vandalization of my banners and billboard.

"These directive is a total wicked slaughter of the oppositions in
Abia and President Muhammadu Buhari.

"The PDP also ordered that all APC's candidates' billboards, most
especially the ones that has President Buhari all over the state, be
pulled down."

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, phone calls put
across to the majority leader, Chinedum Orji, for his reaction were
unsuccessful.
