World Cup 2018: Two players Messi told Sampaoli to drop from Argentina squad revealed

Argentina captain, Lionel Messi, allegedly told the national team
manager, Jorge Sampaoli, to drop two players during his nation's poor
2018 World Cup campaign.

Clarin reports that these two players were Federico Fazio and Giovani Lo Celso.

Messi, who has a huge influence in both Argentina and Barcelona, felt
both players were underperforming.

The South Americans kick-started their campaign with a 1-1 draw,
before they were beaten 3-0 by Croatia.

They, however, scrapped into the last 16 of the competition, thanks to
a 2-1 win over Nigeria in their final group game, but were dumped out
by France.

Messi reportedly told Argentina manager, Sampaoli to drop two players
he believed to be underperforming.
